What Our Clients Say

Frequently Asked Question

The ADA recommends that every patient see a general dentist or pediatric dentist by the age of 2 and see an orthodontist by the age of 7. Not everyone will be ready for orthodontic treatment, but it is best to establish a dental home before needing treatment. And it is best to catch smaller problems that could snowball into larger problems if not caught early enough.

ALWAYS remember to brush your teeth after every meal and floss at least once a day.
Make sure to use toothpaste that contains fluoride to help prevent cavities and maintain strong teeth.
Keep your aligners clean, too, by brushing it gently with a toothbrush and toothpaste. You may also soak it in denture cleaner that is safe for orthodontic appliances. Do not put your retainer in boiling water or in the dishwasher.

Every patient is unique and will receive his or her own individualized treatment plan. No patient deserves to receive a copy of another person’s treatment plan. Dr. LaBlonde will discuss all your treatment options at your consultation visit.

Braces should not hurt. It is common to feel a bit of discomfort initially.
